From my very first step inside the building in March 2025, the potential of Harris Academy Clapham students was invigorating. The vibrancy which students and staff alike bring to the academy and community, is like nowhere else. All stakeholders involved have an energy to achieve and want the very best for our future leaders.
Being appointed as Head of Academy in October 2025, we want students to recognise and understand the key skills and talents they own, providing them with the potential to become exceptional leaders in the field they wish to pursue.
Regardless of background and starting point, every HACL student will understand that ‘everything is possible when we CARE’. Through our Academy values of Commitment, Ambition, Resilience and Empathy, students’ lives will be transformed.
Equally, the vision they are encapsulated in at Harris Clapham will subsequently cause a ripple effect. Our young people will go on to transform the lives of others once they graduate from HACL into the local community and further afield.
Excellence and transformational outcomes happens with CARE. Dedication, a key ingredient in the DNA of HACL staff, pushes students to become the best they can be. In our ‘loco-parentis’ role, the unconditional belief HACL staff have for students is phenomenal and compliments the ambition parents/carers have in supporting the dreams of their child.
Together, we will build a beacon for great educational outcomes where the lives of young people will be transformed, and they will become the next generation of outstanding leaders. They will make us, their families and themselves extremely proud.
