Carers Award for Harris Academy Clapham

We are very proud and pleased to have received an award at the 2026 Lambeth Carers Awards, which took place on 18th September at Lambeth Assembly Hall.

Our award was for the work we have done around visibility and removing barriers to enable students to identify as a young carer, the promotion of young carers as role models, and the support we offer for students who are young carers.

Ms Thatcher and Ms Verber (pictured above) attended the event following our nomination for School of the Year. We were the only runner up and the only secondary school to win the award.

This is a fantastic achievement that showcases the brilliant work Harris Academy Clapham staff are doing to support our young carers.
