Online Platforms - Parent Guide

At the academy, we use a range of online platforms that parents, guardians and students can access to get information or learn outside of school.
MCAS (My Child at School)
My Child at School (MCAS) is a website and mobile app that parents and guardians can use to access a range of information about their child including their timetable, attendance, punctuality, behaviour and academic reports. Parent and guardians can also make updates to student, parent and guardian information including addresses and telephone numbers.
- Signing up to MCAS
- Download the MCAS app to your mobile phone
- Click ‘Sign Up’
- Enter the academy’s post code (SW4 8LD), make sure you leave a space between the 4 and the 8
- Confirm the name of the academy
- Enter the email address that we have on our system (the one we use to send emails to you)
- Complete the setup

Student computer accounts
When students are enrolled at the academy their computer account is generated automatically. The username and password for student computer accounts will allow them to login to and use computers in school.
Outside of the academy, students can access and use most of the applications and files they use at school by using their student computer account username and password. To do this, students will need to download and setup Microsoft Authenticator on their mobile phone.
To access applications and files from home, students should use their student computer account username and password to login to office.com and follow to instructions to verify their identity using Microsoft Authenticator.
For any issues with student computer account usernames and passwords and Microsoft Authenticator, students should speak to their form tutor or visit the IT Technician in room 01_38.
Seneca Learning
To support their learning at school, a range of subjects use Seneca Learning to set homework for students.

- Username
- To access Seneca Learning, students should login with their student computer account username (their @hfed.net username)
- Password
- The default password for Seneca Learning is reset for all students every year. Students can change this password if they wish to.
- September 2025-August 2026, default password is Seneca2025 (case sensitive)
- September 2026-August 2027, default password is Seneca 2026 (case sensitive)
- The default password for Seneca Learning is reset for all students every year. Students can change this password if they wish to.
If students are already logged into office.com using Microsoft Authentictor, they will be logged into Seneca Learning automatically.
For any issues with Seneca Learning usernames and passwords students should speak to the subject teacher who set them the homework on Seneca Learning.
Bedrock (English)
To support their learning at school, the English department use Bedrock Learning to set homework for students.

For any issues with Bedrock Learning usernames and passwords students should speak to their English teacher.
Sparx Maths (Mathematics)
To support their learning at school, the Mathematics department use Sparx Maths to set homework for students.
Login page: sparxmaths.com
For any issues with Sparx Maths usernames and passwords, students should go to the login screen of Sparx Maths and click 'Forgotten login details’ or speak to their Mathematics teacher.
Languagenut (Spanish and Mandarin Chinese)
To support their learning at school, the languages department use Languagenut to set homework for students.
