Following on from our public consultation, which ran from 03/06/2019 to 08/07/2019, we are delighted that our proposed admissions policy has been approved by the government’s Department for Education.
We held three events which were attended by nearly 50 people, most of whom were prospective parents. We were very pleased to present our plans for the new academy and to answer questions that were raised.
Separately, we received 15 responses to our consultation survey and we have considered all the views expressed. 9 respondents expressed a preference for Glenbrook Primary School not to have ‘feeder status’ and for the main oversubscription criteria to be distance from home to academy. However, parents of children at Glenbrook do not have to choose a place at Harris Academy Clapham. Also with the academy being built on Glenbrook’s site, our view is that the two schools should work closely together and that the admissions criteria are fair.
Thank you to all parents and members of the wider community who attended our consultation events or filled in our consultation form.
You can view our final admissions policy from our website (admissions policy and process). We look forward to meeting more prospective parents at our open events which are taking place at Glenbrook Primary School whilst our new building is being constructed:
From 6pm-7pm, and again from 7pm-8pm on the following evenings:
Thursday 26th September 2019
Wednesday 2nd October 2019
You can download the below information booklet, which gives you further information about the academy and the consultation process that took place.
